In Piedmont in the Province of Alessandria, where this wine is produced, the locals like a simple life. They like their cuisine to be based on natural produce but to them, natural produce includes porcini mushrooms, truffles from the Bormida Valley and their speciality focaccia novese breads. Naturally they expect their wines to reach these dizzy heights too and our Gavi wine, named after the city surrounded by the vineyards, is a crisp fruity punch of pear and apple flavours. This is a really great wine to have with any Italian classics of pasta, pizza, antipasti or soft cheeses.
