The easy hold bottle is marked in millimetres and ounces and has a hygiene seal cap to keep germs out and drips in.   Baby Safe All the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles are BPA-free for total reassurance.   Range options The closer to nature® feeding bottle range is available in a 150ml/5floz and 260ml/9floz option, along with a decorated option.  All bottles are available in a variety of pack sizes and our teats come in different flow rates.  The entire Closer to Nature® range is an interchangeable system.  Our bottles fit directly with our breast pumps, into our sterilisers and bottle warmers offering parents everything they need to feed a newborn.   Choosing the right teat for your baby Our revolutionary Closer to Nature teat can be bought in a slow, medium, fast and vari-flow option.  You can select the flow rate most suited to your babies needs at every stage. All our teats are supplied with an age range; this acts as a guide only as every baby is different and will develop at different rates.  The flow rate can be located on the actual teat in the form of a number.  1 is slow, 2 is medium and 3 is fast flow. There are separate teats for the Vented and Advanced Comfort bottle ranges.  These teats do not feature the easi-vent valve as they have a unique tube and valve system to provide optimum venting during feeding The teats are clearly labeled with an Anti-Colic mark on the teat and the packaging has a green background to help distinguish the range. Signs that your baby is ready to progress onto the next teat are when they try to suck harder to get milk more or become frustrated and tired during feeds.  We recommend changing your teats every 4-6 weeks or at the first sign of any wear and tear. Teat collapse resolution There are two reasons a teat may collapse. One is an indication that your baby is ready for a faster flowing teat and may be sucking so hard that the teat cannot release the air fast enough and collapses. The other is that the Closer to Nature Easi-vent teats are made from very soft silicone, therefore over time the silicone can remould when not in use, for example when on the shelf in store. You will have noticed a small tent-like vent on the inside of the teat this should have a small slit along it which allows the airflow through the bottle, and if this remoulds it will cause the teat to collapse during a feed. All you need to do to rectify this problem is to rub the valve between your fingers and thumb until the slit re-opens.
