The image that adorns the front label of this limited-release Douro White 15
from Harvey Nichols makes reference to the birds of prey that grace the skies
above the venerable estate of Quinta de la Rosa where this wine is made. Known
locally as royal eagles, these predators soar high above the estate’s terraced
vineyards. It is here, on the granite rich soils, some 600 meters above the
Douro Valley that the grapes for this wine are grown. Made from a blend of
indigenous grape varieties, Codega do Larinho, Rabigato and Viosinho, the wine
is vinified in small stainless steel vats to preserve the vibrant aromatic
character of the grapes and retain freshness. This refreshing white blend
displays a core of attractive white fruit flavours and is delicious as an
aperitif or partnered with seafood and salad dishes. Saúde!
