Baci Perugina Milk are made by an exquisite layer of milk chocolate that reveals
the hazelnut creamy filling and the crunchiness of a whole hazelnut on top.
Baci has a beautiful story, invented in 1922 by Luisa Spagnoli, the creative
genius owner of Perugina chocolate company. She created a delicious chocolate
bonbon by blending only 8 ingredients: chocolate with a grounded hazelnut cream,
mixing with tiny chopped hazelnuts pieces, crowning it with a whole crunchy
hazelnut and covering it in fine dark chocolate. According to legend, the first
love note appeared in the 1930s, when she wanted to send a secret love message
to her beloved one.
Nearly 100 years later, the original recipe and process remains unchanged and
Baci continues to be crafted with love in Italy, in the same territory where it
born, close to Perugia city, where the the factory has been established more
than a century ago, and it is still today a symbol of quality chocolate and
tradition. Baci is a simple gesture full of meanings, for gifting, sharing... or
simply savouring.
