Gold medal winner in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles competition Hacienda Zorita Natural Reserve Syrah is made from selected grapes grown on a 72 ha. Vineyard in the Natural Park of Arribes del Duero, the Unamuno Vineyard. Here, we work with the latest viticulture techniques including the Smart-Dyson vine training method, allowing for better and more complete ripening of the grapes. We grow international varieties (Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) as well as Spain's indigenous Tempranillo. The 72 ha Unamuno Vineyard is located in the heart of the Arribes del Duero Natural Reserve, Europe's largest protected area of old vines and olives. Sitting at 750 meters above sea level, its privileged location and mircoclimate are ideal for producing well balanced wines with great personality. The soil composition, continental climate and maritime influence, make this an ideal location for sustainable viticulture.
