Malbec is the basis of the dark, inky color and robust tannins of the famous
wines of Cahors. It has also become known for the rich, plush wines produced
from it at higher altitudes in Argentina. As the variety needs more sun and heat
to fully develop than Cabernet Sauvignon, it is a natural choice for Israel. In
our Galil vineyards in northern Israel, it develops intense color, structure and
plum-like aromas that pairs well with grilled meats, pasta and rich sauces.
