Terra Organica is an award-winning, planet-friendly range of organic, vegan and
sustainably made wines. Each wine has been expertly blended and crafted in
complete harmony with nature, but without any compromise on quality or taste.
Pale lemon in colour with light, fresh aromas of blossom and lemon peel. Dry and
crisp on the palate with a clean structure leading to fruit salad flavours on
the finish.
The Botter winery was founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter. Their organic vineyards
use composted manure instead of chemical fertilisers and encourage natural
insect predators instead of insecticides. The organic grapes are sourced from
clay-based hillside vineyards located around the towns of Trapani, Santa Ninfa
and Alcamo in Sicily, at 150 – 200m above sea level.
Hand harvesting takes place around late August. The must ferments for 15 days at
a controlled temperature of 14–16°C in stainless steel tanks to preserve the
delicate aromas.
Terra Organica is committed to sustainable winemaking, which is why we have
removed all unnecessary packaging (such as cork capsules), only use FSC
accredited paper and cartons and use lighter-weight bottles made from a high
percentage of recycled glass.
