Parmareggio was founded in 1983 in Montecavolo di Quattro Castella to season and
finish the world-famous Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. This cheese is lovingly
crafted in the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena and Mantua using the
same techniques and production methods that were established by the monks who
first created it in the region.
Parmareggio is also one of the main producers of butter in Italy with the
particularity of using the prestigious cream from the dairies that produce
Parmigiano Reggiano PDO to churn out the distinctive butter with unmistakable
taste. Due to this rich cream being used, the fat content is 83% minimum and its
colour can range from pure white in winter to a pale yellow in summer due to the
fresh feed of the animals.
Parmigiano Reggiano Butter contains no preservatives.
