Some Facts About Quinoa...
We cook and eat quinoa like many other grains, but, botanically speaking, it's a
relative of spinach, beetroot and chard. The part we eat is actually the seed,
which is why quinoa is gluten-free.
Quinoa is highly nutritious as it contains all 9 essential amino acids. It is
wheat free and is an excellent alternative to rice or couscous.
