Cacao has a rich flavour and aroma and is the best known as the main ingredients in chocolate, with many people adding it to their diet when they crave a natural chocolate treat. It grows in a region either side of the equator known as the Cacao Belt, with cacao powder produced by removing the natural fat (cacao butter) from the cacao bean to form a powder that is naturally rich in minerals.
