KETTYLE DEXTER BEEF FILLET STEAKS
Our Irish Dexter Beef cattle are carefully selected and naturally matured for a
minimum of 21 days to enhance their full flavour potential. Expertly butchered
this fillet steak is deliciously tender and lean. We recommend cooking in a
griddle or frying pan and keeping it simple with oil, salt & pepper seasoning.
Be sure to rest your steak to let it settle before serving, allowing the
beautiful savoury umami flavour to develop. Serve & Enjoy!
The Dexter is a Native Irish Breed originating from County Kerry. The smallest
of the European cattle breeds they are about half the size of a traditional
Hereford. Considered a rare breed until recently Dexter cattle may be small in
stature but are very hardy, efficient grazers and can winter outdoors.
The key to amazing beef flavours starts with cattle leading happy lives grazing
outdoors and thanks to our mild temperatures and geographical location we have
the ideal conditions for natural grass production giving lush pastureland for
the Dexter to graze on. This delivers the unique flavour and rich marbling that
the Dexter breed is famous for.
We work with a small network of farming families in the South of Ireland to
deliver the highest quality cattle from Bord Bia quality assured farms who along
with the Irish Dexter Cattle Society are dedicated to the preservation of this
native Irish breed.
