Ocado Flat Leaf Parsley (Petroselinum crispum).
As another small step towards avoiding waste, we've removed the elastic bands
from our Ocado herbs. So although the leaves and stalks might not look as neat
and tidy as before, they will still taste just as good.
Although flat leaf parsley may not look quite as interesting as its curly
sibling, it scores top marks in dishes for its sharp flavour and fresh aroma.
Flat parsley is tremendously versatile as the stems are just as flavoursome as
the leaves. Wash and finely chop to sprinkle into salads and salsas, stir into
sauces and marinades, or add a herby punch to fishcakes and meatballs.
Top Tip!
Curly parsley is an excellent garnish because of its attractive, frilly leaves,
but the flat leaf variety is better for cooking as it has a greater heat
tolerance, meaning more flavour retention.
